a good and pure AU
Oct. 6th, 2017 12:30 am[ Timekeeping in Eorzea had been revolutionized with the discoveries which allowed pocket watches to be invented. It had quite a history behind it - but not one which Moenbryda had studied much. It had been connected to the study of crystals, however, and had been part of her lessions before she began to study on her own.
All of this was to say that it had been exactly a moon and a half since she set out past the Gates of Judgement, to seek Thancred. Really, the other Scion were either stationed back in the Rising Stones - far too busy trying to figure out what had happened with the Crystal Braves (they were lucky that many of the Ul'dahn Guard would not raise a hand to the Warriors of Light and their heroes) - or, like her dear Urianger, could not travel that far without risk to their own projects and studies.
But her... well, ever since Sasaxia sacrificed some of her Aether while she'd been stopping Nabriales - proving her theory, though it was still quite complex to get one of them to die - Moenbryda had been restless. And after Minfilia vanished - around two moons ago - she'd been moreso. It took Thancred vanishing for her to go, though.
From letters she'd gotten - Moogle being far more trustworthy then her Linkpearl - Yda... Lyse hadn't found Thancred, and she'd been poking around most of the land on the other side of the Gate. Unlike Lyse, though, Moenbryda had to take it slow. And this night, she'd made herself comfortable in the high cliffs of the Dravanian Forelands. Nursing a few dragon bites - feisty buggers, they were - she'd set up quite the fire to cook some of the meat she'd found. The smell was alluring - something she counted on, if there were any Spoken around here. (Which weren't those weird bugs. No offense to them, but Moenbryda was seeking either other adventurers, or... well... it was only a glimmer of hope she felt that this'd work.)
But, for now, she was slightly rotating the meat, as she let out a small satisfied stretch. It was sort of nice, working like this. Much different then Sharlayan. ]
